Relationships can be tough, and watching these movies together will remind you why you chose each other in the first place. What are some of the best romantic movies to watch with your partner?
The Notebook: First Meeting The Notebook is a romantic movie that brings you back to your first engagement. It starts with Allie and Noah, two teenagers in 1940s rural Georgia, who share a passion for writing and for each other. They fall madly in love but are kept apart by social expectations and the turmoil of war. In 1962, they met again in New York City. This film is a timeless story of young love, its heartbreak, and eventual triumph against all odds. Roman Holiday Roman Holiday is a classic in the romantic movie genre. Audrey Hepburn plays a princess who flees her royal life with the assistance of an American journalist played by Gregory Peck. The two fall in love while she's pretending to be his blind date for the evening. Romantic, right? In this classic romantic comedy, a princess from a small European country gets bored of her royal duties and sneaks out of the palace with a reporter. She then gets lost in Rome and meets an American who takes her under his wing. The two fall in love but must re-unite with the guards before they can be together. Pretty Woman Pretty Woman is a 1990 romantic comedy film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) is a street-smart drifter who becomes the personal assistant to business tycoon Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) because she agrees to be his prostitute for a week. As they spend more time together, their feelings for each other grow, and she eventually reveals her past as a sex worker. Pretty Woman is one of the best romantic movies to watch with your partner because it will remind you why you chose each other in the first place. Fault In Our Stars The Fault In Our Stars is a film that I recently watched with my partner. There are some awkward moments, but it's a great book to read and watch together. Fault In Our Stars is a touching movie about two completely different people who share an unbreakable bond. Hazel Lancaster is stricken with cancer, but before she dies, she meets Augustus Waters at a support group. The two immediately develop a connection, and Hazel spends time with him to fulfill her bucket list. The Fault in Our Stars does an excellent job of showing how love can be the thing that saves someone from their biggest fear. The film also does well at illustrating the ups and downs of relationships and how easy it is to hurt someone you care for deeply. There are a number of movies you can watch with your partner to make for a romantic evening. These movies are perfect for a cold winter night. So why not take a break from curling up with a book to watch a movie with your partner? And if you’re looking for a movie that will make you cry, this is DEFINITELY one of them.
